Reflections Retirement Community in Bloomington, IN is seeking a full-time Activities Assistant to support residents through engaging programs and transportation coordination.

You will interview residents on admission to tailor activities, document participation, manage equipment inventories, plan the community newsletter, and coordinate with the resident council to ensure input. The role emphasizes compassionate interactions and ongoing learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• 21+ years of age preferred with driving record in good standing.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive company van for resident transportation activities as needed.
• Interview residents at admission to determine preferences.
• Document residents' participation in activities daily.
• Plan and maintain an inventory list of activity equipment and supplies.
• Evaluate and modify the activity program to meet residents' needs and interests.
• Plan and coordinate the community newsletter.
• Coordinate with the resident council to ensure input into the activity program.
• Coordinate resident shopping orders for those unable to shop independently.
• Engage with residents in a compassionate and impactful manner, fostering a warm and dignified environment.
• Participate in learning opportunities through seminars and staff meetings.
