Job summary

Oak Park Place in Wisconsin is hiring an Activity Assistant to plan, organize, and implement recreational and social events that enhance residents' well-being. The role supports the Activity Director and works to promote regular socialization and physical activity.

This full-time position runs 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, three days during the week, with every other weekend on Saturday and Sunday. Ideal candidates bring a positive attitude, enjoy working with the elderly, and are eager to learn and grow

Qualifications

• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Previous experience working with the elderly preferred.
• Previous experience in an activity’s role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Activity Director, help organize, plan, and execute a well-balanced activity program.
• Organize, lead, and promote interest in recreational activities such as arts, crafts, and games.
• Generate positivity and encourage resident participation.
• Work with all departments to ensure resident needs are being met.
• Assess the needs and interests of individuals and groups and plan activities accordingly.

The Activity Assistant job responsibilities include planing, organizing, and implementing recreational and social events to enhance the well-being of residents with a goal of promoting regular socialization and physical activity.

Key Responsibilities

• Working under the direction of the Activity Director you will help organize, plan, and execute a well-balanced activity program
• Organize, lead, and promote interest in recreational activities, such as arts, crafts, and games
