Job summary

Chateau Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center seeks an Activities Assistant/Aide to support planning, implementation, and evaluation of recreational and social programs for residents. You will monitor participation and resident responses, maintain charted notes, and collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth activity delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in Long Term Care Activities Department preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing & evaluating activity programs.
• Observe resident attendance, mood, behavior and involvement and document progress.
• Create and maintain a warm, calm environment and good rapport with residents and other departments.
• Prepare activity rooms and assist with equipment and supplies as needed.
• Follow care plans to provide daily activities and respect resident confidentiality.
