Job summary

Sprenger Health Care in Lorain, OH is seeking an Activities Aide to facilitate group programs, assist with transporting residents, and help plan and lead recreation activities within our senior living community.

Requires a High School diploma and 2+ years in a patient activities program within health care, or a college degree in Recreation, Gerontology, Nursing Home Administration, Nursing, or Occupational Therapy with a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and 2+ years of experience in a patient activities program in a health care setting.
• Or has college degree in or actively working toward a degree in Recreation, Gerontology, Nursing Home Administration, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, or Occupational Therapy Assistant with a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate group programs as assigned in a timely and efficient manner.
• Assist in transporting residents to and from activities.
• Assist with planning and leadership of recreation programs.
• Promote facility programs to residents, staff, family and volunteers.
