Job summary

Sprenger Health Care Bluffton is seeking an Activities Coordinator to facilitate resident programs and lead recreation activities within our Augusta service area. You will support planning and execution of group activities, transport residents as needed, and promote engagement among residents, staff, families, and volunteers.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or a relevant degree in Recreation, Gerontology, Nursing Home Administration, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, or

Qualifications

• High School diploma or higher in Recreation, Gerontology, Nursing Home Administration, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, or Occupational Therapy Assistant with a valid driver’s license.
• Experience in a patient activities program in a health care setting is required or college degree in a related field.
• Ability to plan and lead recreation programs and transport residents as needed.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate group programs as assigned in a timely and efficient manner.
• Assist in transporting residents to and from activities.
• Assist with planning and leadership of recreation programs.
• Promote facility programs to residents, staff, family and volunteers.
