Job summary

Good Samaritan in Estes Park, CO, seeks an Activities Coordinator to create and run engaging resident activities, supervise staff, and coordinate volunteers. You will help develop care plans centered on activities and complete MDS assessments as required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred.
• Two years experience in this field preferred.
• Knowledge of working with a wide variety of resident demographics.
• Experience in social services or creative activities.
• Minimum of one year leadership/management experience preferred.
• CNA certification or enrollment in a healthcare program preferred.
• BLS certification may be required.
• Driving eligibility may be required depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement resident activities and events.
• Manage activity staff schedules and coordinate volunteers.
• Develop and review resident care plans related to activities.
• Complete activity assessments and MDS questions as required.
• Report issues to leadership promptly and communicate department activities to staff.
• Lead and motivate team, handle behavioral challenges, and prioritize tasks.
• Plan resources and improve work processes; supervise activity calendar.
