Job summary

Bethesda Health Group in St. Louis, MO, is seeking an Activities Assistant to support resident-centered programs. You’ll coordinate life-story activities, plan monthly calendars, and escort residents to events, ensuring safety and engagement.

The role requires a high school diploma, CPR certification (or willingness to obtain), and experience with geriatric care. Strong organization, communication, and documentation skills are essential; lifting up to 30 lbs with assistance may be required.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent.
• CPR certification required or willing to obtain within 6 months of employment.
• One-year geriatric experience preferred.
• Ability to push and pull equipment weighing in excess of 40lbs using proper techniques and with assistance as necessary.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Completes resident’s life-story overview and coordinates person-centered activities.
• Develops monthly activity calendar per neighborhood using resident input and coordinates with team.
• Prearranges supplies and equipment for neighborhood activities and assists with setup and escorting residents.
• Monitors activities and ensures resident safety, cleaning up after each activity.
