Job summary

MediLodge of Grand Rapids is seeking an Activities Assistant (Part Time) to organize and participate in person-specific activity programming, including one to one intervention, small group facilitation and large group presentations. You will document individual participation and value in the medical record.

Responsibilities include assisting the activity director, leading activities, fostering community, and coordinating monthly calendars.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn new modalities and approaches.

• Ability to build rapport and work with residents and families.

• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Comfort with end-of-life care discussions.

Responsibilities

• Assist activity director and support programming for residents.
• Lead individual and group activities and document participation.
• Use diverse activity models (e.g., pet/music/art therapy).
• Decorate and prepare for events; post monthly calendars.
• Promote resident engagement and community within the center.
• Maintain activity records and supply storage; clean after sessions.
• Support families and residents as needed; handle special events.
