Job summary

Grand Victorian of Sycamore is seeking a full-time Activities Leader in Sycamore, IL. The role guides the activity team, designs engaging programs, and coordinates transportation and resident outreach to promote wellbeing and community involvement.

You will develop monthly calendars, monitor budgets, mentor staff, and ensure high-quality resident experiences aligned with dignity and compassion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license.
• Minimum age 21 or older with a good driving record.
• Experience in activities or life enrichment in healthcare settings.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Demonstrates leadership, mentoring and motivation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Activity team, guiding residents through events and activities.
• Design and run high-quality recreational and social programs.
• Develop monthly activity calendars tailored to residents’ needs and track participation.
• Oversee budget and resources for activities and manage equipment inventory.
• Manage Community transportation and drive the company van for outings.
• Coordinate the Resident Council and foster empowerment and engagement.
• Assess program impact and adjust to residents’ evolving needs and interests.
• Coordinate Community newsletter to connect residents with information and mission values.
