Job summary

Topaz Fiscal Services is seeking an Activity Assistant to support the Activities Director in planning and delivering resident programs. You will assist with both group and one-on-one activities, help prepare monthly newsletters and calendars, and work with the care team to document resident progress.

The role requires the ability to create engaging activities, develop a volunteer program, and maintain compliant documentation. Experience in long-term care or assisted living is preferred.

• Experience in long-term care or assisted living preferred.
• Ability to develop stimulating activity programs.
• Strong communication and computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate stimulating activities programming.
• Create a strong and active volunteer program.
• Communicate regularly with resident families and the care team.
• Prepare and review monthly newsletter and activities calendar.
• Lead group activities.
• Report and document on resident progress.
• Visits with residents one-on-one as directed.
• Evaluate and reassess activity interventions with the care plan.
• Ensure documentation meets regulatory standards.
• Report to the Activity Director on residents’ responses and progress.
• Manage care of assigned patients using knowledge, skills, and judgment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
