Job summary

Edgefield Post Acute is seeking an Activity Assistant to support the Activities Director in delivering a creative, interactive program designed to meet the needs and interests of residents. The role emphasizes planning, coordination, and hands-on activity facilitation in a long-term care setting.

You will help plan monthly activity calendars, coordinate resident outings or in-room activities, and ensure accurate attendance and progress notes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferable one-year experience in a long term care facility.
• Ability to read technical procedures and policy manuals.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct individual, small and large group activities.
• Assist in communication between employees, residents, families, and agencies.
• Assist in developing monthly activity calendars and maintaining records.
• Assist in discharge planning and activity care plans.
