Job summary

Ridgecrest Post Acute is seeking an Activity Assistant to support the Activity Director in creating a creative, engaging program for residents. You will help plan and conduct individual and group activities, and facilitate communication among residents, families, staff, and outside partners to ensure needs are met.

You will assist with monthly calendars, attendance, transportation arrangements, and activity care plans, while keeping the Activity Department organized and compliant with applicable

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferable one-year experience in a long term care facility.
• Ability to read technical procedures.
• Ability to read and comprehend policy and procedure manuals.
• Ability to present information and respond to questions.
• Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions.

Responsibilities

• Participate in planning and conducting individual, small and large group activities.
• Assist in communication between residents, staff, families, and agencies.
• Assist in developing monthly activity calendar and attendance records.
• Assist with discharge planning and activity care plans.
• Assist in arranging transportation for residents when necessary.
• Keep the Activity Department clean, orderly, and secure.
