Job summary

Hireology is seeking an Activity Assistant to join our skilled nursing team in Town and Country, MO. This role focuses on bringing joy, purpose, and connection to residents through engaging activities and community events.

You will assist the Activity Director in planning and delivering programs that honor each resident’s interests and abilities, creating a warm and inclusive environment for all. A high school diploma is required; activity certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Activity certification preferred.
• Experience in long-term care preferred.
• Experience leading recreational or social programs within last five years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and leading daily activity programs (arts & crafts, games, music, exercise, educational sessions, religious services, outings).
• Encourage residents to participate in group and one-on-one activities.
• Help maintain accurate activity documentation (with training).
• Support the Activity Director with supply ordering, receipts, and calendars.
• Maintain resident preference lists, precautions, and activity limitations.
• Help facilitate Resident Council meetings when needed.
• Participate in planning special events involving residents, families, staff, and the community.
• Create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all residents.
