Job summary

Highmark Residential is seeking aResident Accounting professional in Addison, TX to manage resident ledgers, perform month-end close, and support rent collection processes. You will handle move-ins, late notices, and billing corrections, working closely with on-site teams to ensure accuracy and compliance.

The role requires strong Yardi and MS Office skills, precise communication in English, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with Yardi, accounting processes and controls.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Teams, Excel).
• Excellent writing and communication skills, including proper grammar and email etiquette in English.
• Basic understanding of accounting functions.
• Ability to coordinate activities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate with peers on training and support objectives.

Responsibilities

• Process move-ins and ensure accuracy of charges on the ledger as stated in lease agreements.
• Create late rent letters and coordinate with the on-site team for timely delivery per state requirements.
• Assist in eviction processes and follow policies for local municipalities.
• Charge applicable legal fees on resident ledgers as permitted by local rules.
• Track and report potential skips to verify occupancy status of units.
• Adjust payments settings on NSF payments and update accordingly.
• Modify move-out dates in Yardi as lock-out dates are scheduled with authorities.
• Prepare accounting records and reports, including month-end close.
• Process and verify move-out charges for Deposit Accountings and integration with rental collection.
