Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System seeks a Residency Program Coordinator to manage the day-to-day operations of our residency and fellowship programs in New York. You will ensure compliance with AMA, ACGME and boards, and coordinate resident schedules.

Under the Residency Program Director, you will submit house staff appointment materials, maintain records, and support interview processes, licensing, and visa handling for international applicants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating all aspects of the resident/fellow interview process including scheduling interview dates, corresponding with potential applicants, confirming meetings and appointments and ensuring applicant credentials are in compliance with current guidelines.
• Coordinates with House Staff Affairs and Human Resources to ensure completion of documents received from ERAS for appointment of house staff applicants, following up with applicants regarding missing credentials to expedite processing of appointments and reappointments.
• Implements all required modules of the New Innovations residency management software, including data reporting and user training for faculty and residents/fellows, and maintains demographic information and AMA tracking in New Innovations.
• Coordinates Orientation Day for new house staff including revisions to the Residency Training Program Manual and clearance processes.
• Serves as a resource for all house staff, notifying residents/fellows of schedules, vacations, conferences, and leaves while ensuring compliance with guidelines; assists international applicants with J1/H1 visa and submissions to ECFMG and NYS Education Department.
