Job summary

Mountain Area Health Education Center in Asheville, NC seeks a Residency Program Coordinator to oversee day-to-day operations of MAHEC Residency and Fellowship Programs. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Two years of work experience in a residency program, academic setting, health care organization, or office environment.
• Knowledge of ACGME, ABFM, and other accrediting bodies is a plus.
• Demonstrates high level of confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate accreditation compliance with ACGME, CODA, and ASHP standards.
• Track licensure and DEA renewals for residents.
• Develop annual resident schedules aligned with curriculum requirements.
• Oversee resident and faculty evaluations and ensure timely completion.
• Coordinate weekly didactics and simulation activities for hands-on learning.
• Assist in recruitment and orientation of residents.
• Process reimbursements in Workday and manage onboarding progress.
