Job summary

Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC) in Asheville, NC, seeks a Director of Practice Operations to provide strategic and operational leadership across MAHEC's ambulatory clinics. You will drive access, quality, patient experience, workforce engagement, and financial performance while aligning operational strategies with MAHEC’s academic mission.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or related field.
7–10 years of progressive healthcare operations leadership experience.
Minimum of five years leading managers or multi-site operations.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership and oversight for day-to-day operations of all MAHEC ambulatory clinics.
Develop, implement, and monitor operational strategies, policies, and workflows to improve efficiency and patient outcomes.
Collaborate with service line leadership to identify opportunities for growth and operational innovation.
Develop and manage annual operating budgets in partnership with finance and department chairs.
Monitor productivity, revenue, expense performance, and operational metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
Partner with revenue cycle leadership to optimize practice performance and financial sustainability.
