Job summary

North Oaks Health System is seeking a GME Program Coordinator to lead day-to-day operations of the residency/fellowship program. The role involves liaison work among learners, faculty, and staff, and ensuring compliance with ACGME standards.

The person will manage the program's operational and financial aspects under the Program Director, requiring strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills. This is a full-time, on-site position in Hammond, LA.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate's degree required.
• Minimum of 2 years medical education programming preferred.
• One year management experience preferred.
• Excellent written, verbal, communication and presentation skills required.
• Strong organizational and financial background is required.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and direct wide range of programmatic issues including long-range planning, trainee recruitment, project development, and workflow analysis.
• Provide administrative supervision and support to residents and oversee program budgeting and purchasing.
• Coordinate policy interpretation and ensure compliance with ACGME and hospital requirements.
• Serve as liaison between learners, faculty, staff, and external rotations; communicate with the Program Director and GME office.
• Develop and distribute call schedules; manage program records and databases; support accreditation activities.
