Qualifications

• Master’s degree in an education-related field from an accredited university.
• A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in PK-12 schools.
• 18 graduate hours in Literacy coursework from an accredited University.
• Evidence of being current in the field of teacher preparation, research-based best practices and pedagogies, coach-based supervision.
• Experience supervising novice teachers in their clinical experience in Texas.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Field Supervisor for the year-long teacher residency with potential to move up to Regional Site Coordinator.
• Cultivate and maintain partnerships between the university and partner school districts for the residency program.
• Collaborate with district and school administrators and teach literacy courses in the residency program (including TEA Reading Academy).
• Supervise Resident Teachers and contribute to program improvement through data-driven decision making.
