Job summary

Altru Family Medicine Residency in Grand Forks, ND seeks a Family Medicine Academic Coordinator responsible for all resident accreditation requirements and monthly ACGME reports, while assisting with recruitment, orientation, and continuing education to support the residents and the overall educational experience.

Qualifications

• Proficient reading, writing and speaking English.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Health Administration preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Works closely with Residency Program Supervisor, Program Director and faculty as an administrative team for the residency program.
• Acts as liaison with medical students, creating rotation schedules, communicating with school coordinators, and handling onboarding and orientation for rotating medical students.
• Keeps current with ACGME and ABFM accreditation requirements and assists with integrating required competencies into the residency curriculum.
• Collects, distributes, and maintains all required monthly ACGME reports and the database for residents’ accreditation requirements.
• Coordinates didactics, resident education, and meetings within the residency and maintains records within ACGME requirements.
• Assists with yearly recruitment and orientation of family medicine residents.
• Serves as program coordinator for the Obstetrics Fellowship, organizing recruitment, interviews and onboarding for OB fellows.
• Creates and distributes marketing and inter‑department communication materials, updating them yearly and maintaining communication with department for any changes.
• Organizes wellness events, graduation, residency retreats, and manages residency program social media channels.
• Performs other duties as assigned to meet residency needs.
