Job summary

The University of Guam seeks a Director of Residence Halls to lead operations, foster a welcoming, safe, and inclusive living environment, and support student growth. Under the Dean of Enrollment Management and Student Success, you will supervise Resident Assistants, coordinate facilities, monitor occupancy, and ensure compliance with university policies and Guam regulations.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs Administration, Counseling, Educational Leadership, or related field (or foreign equivalent).
• Bachelor’s degree in Higher Education, Business/Public Administration, Social Sciences, Education, or related field with 3–5 years of relevant experience in housing/residence life or student services.
• Demonstrated experience in student conduct management, on-call crisis response, and residential facility operations.
• Excellent administrative, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Experience working with diverse student populations and staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations of the Residence Halls, including room assignments, occupancy reporting, contracts, and logistics.
• Lead and develop Resident Assistants; manage recruitment and on-call schedules; ensure safety and incident reporting standards.
• Serve as senior on-call administrator for crises; coordinate with Safety and Security offices; document and respond to incidents.
• Coordinate with Facilities Management for maintenance, inspections, and budget planning.
• Support student experience through residential curriculum, programming, and collaboration with campus partners.
