Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with related experience.
• Experience in higher education and housing/residence life and student conduct processes.
• Experience with student conduct database software (Maxient or similar).
• Understanding of conflict resolution and legal issues in higher education.
• Experience handling confidential and sensitive information.
• Excellent written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate intake management of Residence Life conduct and care cases, create cases in Maxient, route cases to staff, and provide feedback on incidents.
• Reassign cases as hearing officer caseloads demand.
• Serve as a hearing officer for higher level conduct cases in Housing areas.
• Develop and facilitate Restorative Justice processes with RJ Coordinator.
• Review, evaluate, investigate, adjudicate, and sanction cases per University policies; follow up on sanctions.
