Job summary

Immaculata University is hiring an Assistant Director of Residence Life in Malvern, PA to oversee housing operations for ~500 students and supervise a staff of 15–17 resident assistants. The role reports to the Associate Dean of Students, Residence Life and Housing, and requires strong leadership, crisis management, and budget skills.

The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in Higher Education or related field with experience in residential programming, staff supervision, and student

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Higher Education, Student Personnel Administration or related field preferred, Bachelor's degree required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to multi-task.
• Experience with residential programming and staff supervision.
• Ability to manage crisis response and budgeted resources.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff of resident assistants and oversee training and development.
• Conduct weekly staff meetings and coordinate training programs.
• Respond to emergencies and crises and determine appropriate action.
• Oversee housing assignments, openings and move-in/out processes.
• Act as disciplinary hearing officer for Student Code violations as needed.
• Manage residence hall budgets and programming funds.
• Provide counseling/advisement and refer students to university resources.
• Coordinate summer housing operations and supervise summer staff.
• Support long-range planning for occupancy and housing strategies.
• Participate in orientation and university committees as assigned.
