Job summary

Washington State University is seeking an Assistant Director of Residence Life in Pullman, WA. This full-time, permanent role reports to the Director and supervises Residential Education Directors, coordinating desk operations across up to 12 halls and staff training initiatives.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree and four years of relevant experience, with Master’s preferred. Duties include on-call responses, committee oversight, and collaboration with university partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and four years of progressive, relevant experience including at least one year in a managerial role.
• Supervisory experience of graduate hall directors or paraprofessional staff.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends; proficient with Windows and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and evaluate Residential Education Directors within the residence hall system.
• Coordinate desk operations across up to 12 residence halls and staff training initiatives.
• Advise approximately three departmental committees annually and respond to student emergencies.
