Job summary

Fayetteville State University is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician-Building Trades Team Leader to assist in managing the operational tasks of the Residence Hall Building Trades unit. Responsibilities include performing skilled tasks related to carpentry, appliance repair, and overall maintenance. The ideal candidate should have experience in building trades, a valid driver’s license, and demonstrate strong customer service skills.

This position requires dependability and effective communication, along with the ability to prioritize and lead work teams efficiently. Applicants with supervisory experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in building trades preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must demonstrate dependability and commitment to full shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist Facility Maintenance Supervisor in operational duties.
• Perform semi-skilled and skilled tasks in carpentry and maintenance.
• Plan daily work schedules for staff.
