Job summary

Lutheran Services in Iowa (LSI) is seeking a Resettlement Supervisor to lead refugee program delivery in Des Moines, coordinating housing, transportation, school enrollment, and health support for newcomers.

The role oversees staff, ensures contract compliance and timely reporting, and partners with community organizations to deliver safe, accessible services with dignity and respect.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field.
• 2+ years supervisory experience.
• Language skills to meet client needs preferred but not required.

LSI currently seeks a Resettlement Supervisor to lead the resettlement of refugee populations, through our Refugee and Immigrant Services programs in Des Moines, including but not limited to resettlement, employment and case management.

What You'll Do

The Resettlement Supervisor plans and implements programming, coordinates core service delivery, supervises staff, ensures program goals are met, and satisfies budgetary, compliance and reporting responsibilities according to contract standards. Guide the implementation of the program and ensure all core services are completed in a timely manner including the provision of safe, sanitary, and affordable housing, airport pickups, home visits, school enrollment, domestic health assessments, and access to public benefits. Manage relationships with internal and external partners necessary for the effective delivery of services.

Service provision oversight and support may occur during normal business hours, after hours, or on weekends.

What You'll Need

Required: Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related field and 2 years of supervisory experience. Candidates with the language skills to meet the needs of clients is preferred, but not required.

This position requires a valid driver's license, auto insurance, a good driving record and the ability to pass an extensive background check including checks of the Dependent Adult and Child Abuse registries, Sex Offender registry and a criminal history check.
