Lutheran Services in Iowa is seeking a Caseworker in Sioux City to support immigrant and refugee clients through skill development, case management, advocacy and resource connections.
You'll meet clients in person or by phone during business hours, with some evenings and occasional weekends, and help them set goals and service plans aligned with personal objectives. A bachelor's degree in health and human services plus experience is required or equivalent education/experience.

The Caseworker is responsible for providing supportive services to refugee and immigrant clients including, but not limited to, skill development, case management, advocacy, and resource connection. Caseworkers should know the basics of outcome-based performance measures and be willing to help clients develop goals and facilitate service plans that enable each client to meet their personal goals. Caseworkers will meet with clients in person or via telephone during normal business hours, as well as in the evenings and occasional weekends.
Required: Bachelor's degree in health and human services + 1 year of full time, related health and human services experience. Will also accept equivalent education and experience, including Associate's degree + 3 years OR a high school diploma/GED + 5 years of related experience.
This position requires a valid driver's license, auto insurance, a good driving record and the ability to pass an extensive background check including checks of the Dependent Adult and Child Abuse registries, Sex Offender registry and a criminal history check.
