Job summary

Crescent Energy seeks an experienced Reservoir Engineer to support development planning and production forecasting across our unconventional portfolio in Houston. The role emphasizes economic evaluation, performance analysis, and collaboration across engineering, land, finance and commercial teams.

You will lead type curves, development cases, and economic models, balancing day-to-day analyses with long-term planning while working with high autonomy in a team-first environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years upstream operator experience with at least 3 years in reservoir engineering.
• Experience with unconventional reservoirs and ARIES for economic evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Develop recommendations on well spacing, landing zones, completion design, and production practices.
• Perform project and field-level economic analyses for AFEs and field development using ARIES.
• Generate production forecasts, type curves, and development cases for asset areas.
• Evaluate reservoir performance with RTA, PTA, and numerical simulations.
• Lead lookbacks linking reservoir performance to drilling and operations.
• Collaborate with Land, Commercial, and Finance to evaluate trades and bolt-ons.
• Coordinate with Finance on budget and long-term forecasting.
