Job summary

Starbucks Reserve Kitchen in Chicago is seeking a Now Baking – savory cook I to support large‑scale food production and ensure quality and safety in a fast‑paced environment.

You will assist Savory Cooks in planning and executing recipes, maintain sanitation and HACCP logs, and help scale recipes using gram/kilogram measures. The role requires strong knife skills, attention to detail, and a passion for culinary arts.

Qualifications

• 1+ years culinary production in a professional kitchen – commercial a plus (required)
• Current Health Code Certification (as per State and Local DOH requirements) (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Preparation of savory food according to prescribed recipes
• Assists the Savory team in the organization and execution of timely food production
• Assists with sanitation, food safety and related production activities
• Cleans and maintains work areas, utensils, and equipment
• Maintains date lot tracking sheets and HACCP temp logs
• Scaling recipes for production; familiar with using gram/kilogram scales and units of measure
• Performs other duties as assigned by their leader in support of the kitchen
