Job summary

Salamander Middleburg is a Forbes Five-Star luxury resort seeking an energetic Reservations Sales Agent. You will be the first contact for guests, delivering Forbes Five-Star service while converting inquiries into reservations.

You will help guests book accommodations, spa experiences, dining, and packages, maximizing revenue through consultative selling and upsells. This full-time role offers competitive hourly pay plus commission, with opportunities to earn more based on performance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in: Hotel Reservations, Luxury Hospitality, Guest Services, Front Desk, Hotel Sales, Travel Industry.
• Experience with OPERA PMS preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Typing speed 50+ WPM and strong written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound reservation calls and emails with Forbes Five-Star service.
• Sell guestrooms, packages, promotions, and resort experiences.
• Upsell room categories, spa, dining, and amenities.
• Build rapport and identify guest travel needs.
• Process reservations, modifications, cancellations, and special requests accurately.
• Maintain guest records in the OPERA PMS.
• Assist with group reservations and billing updates.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Spa, Housekeeping, and other departments for seamless stays.
• Monitor bookings, cancellations, arrivals, and occupancy trends.
• Meet or exceed monthly sales and conversion goals.

Position Summary

Salamander Middleburg is seeking an energetic, service-driven Reservations Sales Agent to join our Reservations team.

As the first point of contact for many of our guests, you will provide exceptional customer service while converting inquiries into reservations. You'll assist guests with booking accommodations, spa experiences, dining, packages, and special promotions while maximizing revenue through consultative selling and upselling opportunities.

This position offers competitive hourly pay plus commission, allowing high performers to increase their earnings.

What You'll Do

• Answer inbound reservation calls and emails while delivering Forbes Five-Star service.
• Sell guestrooms, vacation packages, promotions, and resort experiences.
• Upsell room categories, spa appointments, dining reservations, and resort amenities.
• Build rapport with guests and identify their travel needs.
• Process new reservations, modifications, cancellations, and special requests accurately.
• Maintain detailed guest records using the OPERA Property Management System (PMS).
• Assist with group reservations, rooming lists, and billing updates.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Conference Services, Housekeeping, Spa, and other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
• Monitor booking trends, cancellations, arrivals, and occupancy reports.
• Meet or exceed monthly sales and conversion goals established by leadership.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of resort amenities, seasonal promotions, dining venues, activities, and local attractions.

Preferred Qualifications
