Job summary

Transdev in San Jose, CA is hiring a Reservationist to intercept customer calls and schedule transportation. We value friendly, customer service-oriented people dedicated to safety.

Starting pay is $23.61/hour, with progression to $25.59 at 5 years under the Union Collective Bargaining Agreement. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision after 60 days, a pension, 10 paid holidays, and vacation accruals from 1–20+ years of service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years reservationist or customer service experience.
• Computer literate with good communication and listening skills.
• Must be able to work shifts or flexible schedules.
• Subject to DOT drug testing per DOT40 CFR Part 40.

Responsibilities

• Answer customer calls and input ride information using a computerized scheduling system.
• Enter new customer information and changes in the system.
• Data entry into spreadsheets and databases.
• Communicate late vehicle service and verify No-Shows with customers.
• Resolves service-related complaints.
• Create daily route maps of the reservations for the drivers.
• Other duties as required.

Vacation

• 1 week ( 40 hours) paid vacation after 1 full year of service
• 2 weeks (80 hours) paid vacation after 2 full years of service
• 3 weeks (120 hours) paid vacation after 5 full years of service
• 4 weeks (160 hours) paid vacation after 20 full years of service

Paid Sick Leave

• 5 days accrued per year of employment
