Job summary

Apollo.io is seeking a Researcher to drive our customer-centric vision. You will lead critical research projects, partner with product and design teams, and help grow the research function within a hyper-growth startup.

Responsibilities include conducting diverse research methods, developing personas, and communicating insights to shape product strategy. You will mentor junior researchers and stay ahead of industry trends to continuously improve methodologies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mixed methods research experience
• Excellent communicator with ability to build compelling narratives for stakeholders
• Autonomous ownership and proactive strategist in cross-functional settings
• Builder & tinkerer who leverages AI to accelerate analysis and insights
• Proficient in a wide variety of research methods across qualitative and quantitative approaches

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth, agile research including foundational research, usability testing, interviews, surveys, and ethnographic studies to derive user insights.
• Develop and maintain user personas and journey maps to inform product development.
• Integrate iterative testing and feedback loops within agile software development lifecycle.
• Plan and facilitate usability testing, including recruitment, script development, and post-session analysis; communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Collect and analyze user data, identify patterns and opportunities for product improvements.
• Prepare clear research reports and presentations to communicate findings to cross-functional teams.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to embed user research into product strategy.
• Mentor junior researchers and stay updated on industry trends to enhance methods used in projects.
• Educate teams on the value of user research and its impact on product success.
