Work Arrangement: Onsite only

Location: Houston, TX

Salary Range: $32,355 - $38,065

FLSA Status: Nonexempt

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Summary

Dr. Lisa McClendon, from the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology, is seeking a research technician. The technician should be eager to gain hands-on experience in a research setting and be highly motivated to grow professionally. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to ongoing scientific projects while developing practical skills and advancing their career.

Job Duties
  • Cleans and organizes laboratory.
  • Assists senior lab members (e.g., Faculty, Postdoc) in preparing experiments.
  • Prepares or conducts simple lab experiments.
  • Helps PI with other job-related duties.
  • Prepares minimal clerical work to assist in grant preparation.
  • Tracks and gathers data needed for senior lab members to conduct experiments.
  • Prepares for exams related to Dr. Lisa McClendon / Dr. Bert O'Malley CoRegen cancer grant, which has the potential to treat multiple types of cancer more effectively without toxicity, inflammation, or off-target effects.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in a Basic Science or related field. Two years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement.
  • One year of relevant experience.
