Job summary

Vylor, Inc. in Hawaii seeks a Research Technician for the Population Development team at the Waimea site. You’ll grow corn plants from planting to pollination and harvest, maintaining healthy stock and assisting with seed production.

You’ll work with a collaborative shadehouse crew, learn on the job, document observations, and help ensure safety, accuracy, and timely execution of daily tasks in a dynamic seed science environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Able to lift 20–50 lbs occasionally.
  • Able to perform repetitive motions and stand for long periods.
  • Work in warm conditions and partially enclosed structures.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle.
  • Willing to work weekends/holidays/overtime at multiple west Kaua’i locations.

Responsibilities

  • Care for corn plants from planting to pollination and harvest.
  • Create healthy plants with on-the-job training.
  • Keep shadehouses clean and operational.
  • Collaborate with team to complete daily duties.
  • Observe plant growth and document observations.
  • Perform tasks safely per protocols and regulations.
  • Support Waimea Research Center goals and initiatives.
  • Assist other projects as needed.
  • Data analysis of observations.

This role is also eligible for an annual bonus. Based on factors such as geographic location and candidate qualifications, actual base pay is determined when an employment offer is made.Corteva announced to separate our current advanced seed and genetics business to establish a standalone company, operating as Vylor, Inc.
