Job summary

Vylor, Inc. in Hawaii seeks an Agronomy Technician to support seed production at the Hawaii Research Center. You will assist with field operations, IPM, data entry, and equipment maintenance to ensure high-quality seed for research programs.

You will work with crop protection, land prep, and IPM activities, with potential evenings or weekends during peak seasons. Training, safety, and team collaboration are emphasized.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required (or willing and able to obtain GED within 12 months from hiring).
  • 2 to 4 years of tropical agriculture experience in IPM spray and farm equipment operation preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of computers with the ability to utilize Microsoft office products.

Responsibilities

  • Assist scheduling and operation of farm spraying equipment.
  • Maintain PPE and follow label directions.
  • Data entry in agronomy databases.
  • Print and post WPS records.
  • IPM chemical inventory management.
  • Spraying, chemigation, posting signs, cleaning equipment.

No matter your role, you will be part of a team that is building the future of agriculture – leading breakthroughs in the innovation and application of science and technology that will better the lives of people all over the world and fuel the progress of humankind.The Agronomy Technician will be responsible for supporting the agronomy efforts of the Hawaii Research Center with primary focus on agronomic activities necessary to reliably produce high quality seed for the research organization.The agronomy technician will be performing tasks in the Agronomy Department, including but not limited to, working with crop protection, land planning and preparation, Integrated Pest Management (IPM), regulatory and equipment operation.This position is located on the “Garden Island”, Kauai.$1,500 SIGN ON BONUS!***Please note: there is no visa sponsorship or relocation assistance provided for this role.What You'll Do:Assist in scheduling, coordination and operation of farm and spraying equipment (such as Sprayers and Tractors). This role is also eligible for an annual bonus.
