Job summary

Vylor, Inc. in Durant, IA, is hiring a Production Technician to join our seed production team.

You will participate in harvest, packaging, and warehouse tasks, monitor automated equipment, and support field activities with logistics and inspections. A high school diploma or GED is required, with potential for a two-year technical/associate degree; lifting up to 50 lbs and willingness to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends are essential.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED, or able to obtain GED within 12 months.
  • Able to climb and work in elevated areas, stand/sit for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Willing to work outdoors/indoors in varying conditions and rotate shifts including nights/weekends.
  • Basic computer aptitude; comfortable with Microsoft applications and learning company systems.
  • Valid US driver’s license; able to teamwork and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in harvest activities: prep, drying, shelling, husk oversight, packing.
  • Monitor highly automated equipment for harvesting, conditioning, treating, packing.
  • Perform warehouse tasks: forklift operation, sample collection, pooling.
  • Assist with conditioning activities: sizing, gravity operation, packaging, palletizing.
  • Support field activities: scouting, inspection, logistics management.
