Responsibilities:

  1. Confirm availability of raw and packing materials for current and next runs. Seek and understand schedule and demand plans. Coordinate by working with other team members in planning, warehouse, R&D and Engineering to ensure availability of materials.
  2. Weigh raw materials for batches following batch cards, computerized system and cGMP Standards.
  3. Order and maintain inventory of Pilot Plant supplies as requested.
  4. Accurately label and maintain the storage of waste drums in the Pilot Plant.
  5. Use appropriate internal business systems to plan pilot work.
  6. Process batches following manufacturing procedures given by chemist/engineer and/or computerized system.
  7. Accountable for the quality of batches completed.
  8. Execute laboratory/pilot experiments, in partnership with R&D and Supply Chain, to prove engineering concepts, and ensure effective scale up.
  9. Fill, package and label product manufactured for stability and consumer testing.
  10. Operate, supervise, perform changeovers and conduct minor maintenance of automated equipment.
  11. Accurately and fully finish the regulatory and compliance related documentation and procedures; highlights variances.
  12. Perform validation of equipment including writing Standard Operating Procedures, Standard Practice Instructions, job aids and equipment manuals.
  13. Accountable for housekeeping of pilot plant and lab area, including storage locations.
  14. Accountable for adhering to Colgate-Palmolive, state, local, and federal guidelines related to EHS, Quality, and Regulatory.
  15. Assist in the implementation of continuous improvement programs within the area.
  16. Understand the needs of customers, which include R&D, Engineering, Marketing, Quality, and Planning.
  17. The ability to learn on the job in a dynamic environment.
  18. Other assigned responsibilities as needed by the business.

Basic Qualifications:

  1. Associate Degree in an Engineering or Science field or a high school diploma.
  2. Minimum of three years of relevant shown experience.
  3. Ability to work with computers and attain proficiency with various Plant software and data systems.
  4. Technical knowledge and ability to operate, run, clean, sanitize and maintain pilot plant or industrial process equipment.
  5. Proven understanding of laboratory methods, procedures and processes.
  6. Working understanding of cCGMP requirements and expectations for FDA covered operation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. SAP or other related systems background a plus.
  2. Maintenance & Planning background and experience a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $ - $ USD
Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days and 13 paid holidays.
