Job summary

Attain Partners is seeking a Research Security Officer to lead university clients' research security and export controls programs. This role requires coordinating with Compliance, General Counsel, and institutional offices to ensure regulatory compliance and policy alignment.

You will serve as SME on ITAR/EAR, monitor export control obligations, and drive program improvements while partnering with faculty and administration to mitigate risk.

Qualifications

• SME for research security and export controls.
• Experience interpreting ITAR/EAR and related policies.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Promotes a culture of compliance and oversees adherence to federal regulations and policies.
• Executes compliance program activities, including risk assessments and work plans.
• Serves as the institution's research security point of contact.
• Manages export control determinations and licenses as needed.
• Develops and updates policies to support export control compliance.
• Maintains expertise on ITAR, EAR, OFAC and related frameworks.
