Job summary

MCW in Milwaukee is seeking a researcher to supervise and independently perform studies advancing the principal investigator's projects. You will design experiments, analyze data, and compile results to support scientific goals.

You will lead protocols, monitor quality, and collaborate with investigators to determine study design and perform statistical analyses. Some responsibilities include coordinating activities and mentoring lab personnel.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of biology, chemistry, mathematics, documentation, and records management.
  • Data utilization, complex problem solving, critical thinking, resource management, and writing skills.

  • May oversee the work of laboratory personnel including training and development as well as daily work direction/delegation/prioritizing.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Summary

Qualifications

Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis.

Physical Requirements

Work requires occasionally lifting moderate weight materials, standing, or walking continuously.

Work Environment

Occasional exposure to dust, noise, temperature changes, or contact with water or other liquids. Work is performed in an environmentally controlled environment.

Sensory Acuity

Ability to detect and translate speech or other communication required. May occasionally require the ability to distinguish colors and perceive relative distances between objects.
