Job summary

TAP Engineering LLC in Maryland seeks a Research Scientist - Additive Manufacturing to advance AM research, including direct-write inks for 3D circuits and RF antennas. You will prototype, test, and document novel printing processes and materials in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.

The role requires hands-on experience with 3D-print technologies (aerosol jet, syringe printing), DoE, CAD, and RF design concepts; clearance or ability to obtain TS/SCI is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in 3D-print material identification and DoE planning.
• Experience with 3D-print equipment operation (Aerosol Jet, FDM, SLA).
• Background in microscopy, electronics assembly, and environmental qualification.

Responsibilities

• Provide AM technical support and document experiments.
• Assimilate inputs and analyze technical deliverables.
• Assist in managing the AM research portfolio.
• Develop testing methodologies and protocols.
• Prepare presentations and technical reports.
• Review literature and attend related workshops.
• Track progress against cost and schedule.
