Formative 3D in Falls Church, VA is seeking an Additive Design Technician to turn digital designs into finished, manufacturable parts. You will operate large-format robotic and FDM printers, prepare prints, and ensure quality.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in additive manufacturing or related production.
• Comfort with hand and fabrication tools.
• Familiarity with PrusaSlicer; Fusion 360 a plus.
• Experience with PC-based systems and ERP software.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilités

• Operate and maintain large-format robotic and FDM 3D printers.
• Prepare prints and optimize settings and toolpaths.
• Schedule jobs across a fleet of printers to meet demand.
• Load materials and manage filament inventory.
• Post-process parts, remove supports, and finish surfaces.
• Assemble modular furniture components per design intent.
• Troubleshoot printers and perform routine maintenance.
• Support rapid prototyping and test prints with new materials.
• Document production data and maintain a safe workspace.
• Collaborate with design/engineering to improve prints.
