Job summary

Inkbit in Medford, MA seeks an R&D Technician to support development, evaluation, and improvement of additive manufacturing materials, processes, equipment, and prototypes. You will work closely with scientists and engineers to execute experiments, prepare materials, build and test prototypes, and generate reliable data.

You will translate experiments into practical lab activities, document results, and help identify equipment or process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or at least two years of relevant lab or R&D experience.
• Experience in a laboratory, engineering, manufacturing, or R&D environment preferred.
• Experience with additive manufacturing, 3D printing, polymers, resins, or related technologies preferred.
• Familiarity with CAD or other technical design software.

Responsibilities

• Execute R&D experiments and development activities involving additive manufacturing materials, printing processes, equipment, and prototypes.
• Prepare resin formulations, test specimens, printed samples, cast samples, and other materials for evaluation.
• Operate and maintain laboratory and manufacturing equipment according to procedures.
• Record and analyze data with accuracy and maintain thorough documentation.
• Identify anomalies and communicate potential design or process improvements.
