The selected candidate for the Research Scientist position will assist the PI and Co-PIs in the implementation of all research and education activities associated with the new Interdisciplinary Biomedical Engineering Core ( IBEC ) facility at NC A&T.
In this role, the Research Scientist will operate and maintain high-end analytical instrumentation in the IBEC, facilitate training of users on the instruments, and assist users with the development of experimental workflow.

Theundergraduate enrollment currently is over 835 Biology majors. TheMS graduate enrollment averages 15 students, and we train PhDstudents as part of the AST program in Applied Bioscience with anenrollment of 30 PhD students.
A PhD in bioscience, genomics, biochemistry, or a relateddiscipline.
5+ years of experience
A background in genomics and analytical biochemistryA strong publication record in relevant fields *Experiencedeveloping experimental workflows, conducting bioanalyticalresearch, and training users.
