Job summary

Cornell University seeks a Laboratory Technician for the Anatomic Pathology Laboratory in Ithaca, NY. You will support veterinary anatomic pathology research, help develop experiments, collect data, and analyze results in a multidisciplinary environment.

You’ll contribute to laboratory operations, manage supplies and equipment, ensure safety compliance, and train other staff. This 1-year term, onsite position offers opportunities for growth and collaboration on impactful projects.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in biology or related field with up to 2 years’ lab experience.
• Experience or training in qPCR, Western blot, IHC, and in situ hybridization.
• Experience with mammalian tissue culture.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research experiments using qPCR, IHC, cell culture, and microscopy.
• Support faculty with data collection, analysis, and troubleshooting.
• Manage laboratory operations, supplies, equipment, inventory, and safety.
• Train and assist lab personnel and maintain accurate records for publications.
