Nystoriak Laboratory at MMRI in Utica, NY is seeking a Research Laboratory Manager / Laboratory Coordinator to ensure smooth day-to-day operations of a cardiovascular research lab. The role blends hands-on work with strong organizational oversight to support ongoing projects and training will be provided.

You will coordinate activities, manage inventory, oversee animal colony operations, and assist with sample handling and data management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, biomedical sciences, health sciences, chemistry, or related field.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day laboratory activities and maintain an organized, efficient work environment.
• Manage inventory of reagents, supplies, and consumables.
• Order and track laboratory supplies and equipment.
• Maintain laboratory records, databases, and systems.
• Coordinate breeding and availability of the animal colony.
• Collect, catalog, store, and distribute samples for analysis.
• Assist with data organization, file management, and record keeping.
• Support routine laboratory procedures and project coordination.
