Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a scientific discipline and one year experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to independently plan and conduct multiple, complex, basic research studies.
• Ability to follow complex, multi-step protocols precisely and troubleshoot with limited supervision.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work with others or independently.
• Ability to learn new techniques, manage multiple projects, and communicate effectively.
• Ability to train incoming lab personnel in experimental methods.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement procedures and protocols under the direction of a higher-level authority.
• Investigate, analyze, and reach preliminary scientific conclusions related to research planning.
• Ensure data results are compiled, analyzed, and presented properly.
• Analyze, develop and interpret scientific results; maintain clear documentation and prepare reports.
• Perform independent research and laboratory techniques and participate in experimental planning.
• Interact with PI, research staff, and Safety Officers to ensure safe operation of the lab.
• Collaborate with external researchers and industry partners to stay informed on methods and developments.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
