Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking an early-career Research Information Systems Engineer to serve as the onsite technology resource for a Colorado Springs office. You will manage local help desk operations, troubleshoot hardware, software, and peripherals, deploy workstations, and provide remote support to other sites, collaborating with specialized teams to support researchers and staff.

The role requires 1–2 years of IT support experience, strong communication, and US citizenship.

Qualifications

Associate degree or equivalent experience in IT.
1–2 years in IT support, desktop support or help desk.
Proficiency in Windows administration, hardware support, Office and peripherals.
Strong communication and customer service, ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

Resolve help desk tickets and walk-up requests from creation to resolution.
Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and wireless networks.
Assist with workstation deployments and conference room technology.
Provide remote support to other sites and coordinate with specialized technical teams.
Document configurations, support workflows, and escalation processes.
Coordinate with end-users to minimize disruption to research operations.
