Job summary

Portland State University is seeking a Research Integrity Program Manager to oversee multiple research integrity and compliance programs, including human/animal protections, financial conflicts of interest, and export controls. You will manage review committees, provide ethics approvals for a broad portfolio of sponsored and non-sponsored research, and guide policy implementation.

The role reports to the Director of Research Integrity and Compliance Operations and requires a strong background in

Qualifications

BA/BS with 4-6 years of related experience in research integrity or administration, or Master’s with 2+ years, with knowledge of ethics and compliance.
Experience using resources to interpret complex regulations, and to plan multi-phase projects.
Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication and customer service to diverse audiences.
Experience with research software and database systems; developing forms using prescribed tools.
Experience drafting policy, procedures and guidance documents.

Responsibilities

Compliance program management for multiple research compliance programs.
Review and evaluate research protocols to ensure regulatory adherence; support IRB and other committees.
Administrative oversight of compliance committees and related processes.
Provide guidance to researchers and committees; contribute to policy development and training.
Position is in-person at PSU with potential limited remote work one day per week under policy.
