Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Grants and Contracts Officer to provide budgetary and administrative support to Principal Investigators for pre-award management across grant and contract proposals. You will assist in identifying funding opportunities and coordinating submissions to Federal, state, local agencies, foundations, and other entities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant experience as determined by the company.
• Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize projects with discretion in handling confidential information.
• 2 years experience in grants/contracts or relevant field.
• Familiarity with FAR, PHS Policies, OMB Circulars A-122/A-133, and electronic grant submissions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist Principal Investigators and staff in assessing funding opportunities and submitting proposals for funds to Federal, state, local, foundations, and other entities; manage electronic submissions via grants.gov and NSF Fastlane.
• Assist in preparation, review, negotiation, and administration of extramural awards and related documents (CDA, MTA, Data Use, etc.).
• Act as liaison to facilitate communications between Allegheny Singer Research Institute management, accounting, investigators, and external organizations regarding sponsored research agreements/programs.
• Assist in the annual budget process providing data on funded programs.
• Provide ad hoc reports to management and department administration.
• Perform other duties as required by the manager.
