Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Grants and Contracts Officer to provide budgetary and administrative support for pre-award management, enabling timely grant and contract proposals. The role coordinates with investigators, management, and external parties while ensuring compliance with applicable policies and regulations.

Responsibilities include assisting in funding opportunities, budget planning, award administration, and producing management reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant experience.
• Ability to meet deadlines and handle confidential information.
• 2 years experience.
• Familiar with FAR, PHS Policies and OMB Circulars A-122 and A-133; grants.gov and NSF FastLane.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist Principal Investigators and staff in assessing funding opportunities and submitting proposals to government and non-profit entities.
• Prepare, review, negotiate, and administer extramural awards; draft subagreements and legal documents.
• Act as liaison between institute management, accounting, investigators, and external organizations.
• Assist in the annual budget process with data on funded programs.
• Provide ad hoc reports to management and department administration.
• Perform other duties as requested by manager.
